Is Mayweather Picking Kahn Such A Bad Thing?

Ok, first let me start by saying it's not really a fight I want to see but. . . lets look at it from an entertainment point of view. . . (unless u're idea of calling a Mayweather fight boring = Him not getting pummelled) What I mean is, I've seen a few people here refer to Canelo as flat footed, slow, lacking experience, a cherry pick and not a challenge for Mayweather, Khan is none of those things, well he's not slow, or flat footed, experience is questionable.

I'd rather see Garcia face Floyd, and that's saying something, IMO he's earnt the fight, but if it is going to be Khan than it is what it is, but surely we're gonna see a different sort of fight for Mayweather, maybe? I dunno. Anyway lets see what happens?

Based on the level of competition Khan has had trouble or has lost to, and being Floyd is quite possibly 2 leagues above those guys, I genuinely can't get excited for this fight at all.

I mentioned in another post that I've not purchased 2 Floyd PPV's (Ortiz, Marquez) since his Oscar fight and this would make #3. I just see no interest in the fight.

Something tells me though that Team Mayweather and Golden Boy are teasing and throwing names out there to get a gauge at what the Public wants. The unfortuante side of things is it's slim pickings and with how the network situation is today, Khan ironically makes the most sense financially.

No boxing fan who has ever claimed to want fairness in the sport can support this fight. It would not be fair if Khan got the Mayweather fighter now. Beat Alexander, and it's a different story.

ye granted that's a piss off, he needs that fight first, and I even think Garcia would need a fight at 147 first, I'd much rather see Floyd take Martinez, but maybe in Sept, if Martinez is fit and all is well, but I wouldn't blame Floyd for picking an easier fight for May, Just tryna brace myself for whoever that might be.

Yes it is a bad thing. Even at khan's peak he wasnt undisputed at 140. And he deserves a lotteryticket fight against the best fighter in the world at 147?? Khan has to beat garcia, and some top welters to even be considered.

I will lose all respect for Mayweather if he picks Khan over Pacquiao. Khans been knocked out/knocked down by lesser opponents and losing recently more than Pacquiao and he says Pacquiao needs to get over hurdles ?
Khan ducked out of Alexander fight for fear he might blow his chance of a May fight? ridiculous, at this point Garcia, and even Alexander who had a good showing against Maidana deserve the fight more than Khan

Sad thing is other than middle weights Floyd has no one to really fight that people wouldn't already think he would win. Yea we want to see the Pac fight but lets be real no one really thinks he has a chance now. And Lara would be nice but no fans. Who else is there?

Just two leagues? More like light years...

No one wants to see Khan vs. Mayweather.. Khan has about a .0009% chance..
