Kinda agree, there's essentially nothing GGG could realistically do at his age (and in this cynical era) to be considered an ATG. Although he's my favourite current fighter, boxing has been going on for a long time, and there's been many great fighters.

Just curious, however. Floyd and Klitschko both for their longevity and to mark the extremes in terms of size are relevant WRT ATG status. Ward as a solid P4Per, Maravilla (although faded) as P4P and lineal at 160 - also have some bearing within the current era. Stevenson, however, despite a coupla impressive wins is essentially irrelevant (as yet) in the bigger picture. I know he has the lineal at LHW but unless he proves capable of holding onto it for more than a coupla fights he has no bearing on the discussion.

In short, GOAT, is an impossible dream, even ATG status is only awarded to 1 or 2 boxers per generation. Even then, it will never be us contemporaries but only posterity that will decide, and history has always been a maleable thing, chosen more by those who record it, than those who witness it.

I said he should fight him on HBO cause SHO keeps sticking him on undercards, and HBO is generally the bigger plattform, more viewers. Plus GGG has an exclusive with HBO, Quillin doesn't with SHO, hence no main event. But it would be hard to arrange now that GBP is banned from HBO, so it's a shame Quillin kept passing while it could still be made.
