Mayweather himself is responsible for his numbers regardless of how you want to spin it. It's a combination of both his boxing and his personality.. If he couldn't fight, the numbers would not be the same. Also, how do you know they are "embellishing the contributions to ridiculous extents?" Yet you "generally believe Lampley?" That doesn't even make sense.According to Jim Lampley.
Who I believe generally though I know they embellish Floyd's contribution to ridiculous extent. Floyd told them he "should have a reality show" at one of the promotional shoots. Floyd was right, 24/7 and his impressive television persona are the SOLE reason Floyd Mayweather is the highest paid athlete in the world plus the Oscar fight exposure itself of course. Floyd had trouble breaking 400,000 buys even post Gatti. Floyd Mayweather is a Kardashian basically. Floyd the boxer wouldn't beat Cotto's numbers if things were different.
If it was all about personality then Ricardo Mayorga could be the PPV king.Last edited by joseph5620; 09-29-2013, 03:06 PM.Comment

Yeah 24/7 was really good last night. Really irritates me to have to deal with showtime covering any of the big fights. Hbo adds so much hype when it comes to the big fights. As long as we get the big fights I guess it's ok. Still wish Gbp would go back.f!!! Crappy a$$ showtime and that horrible announcer mau rua or whatever he's god awfulAfter watching Marquez Bradley 24/7 it looks like 24/7 is still crapping all over the garbage All Access....they focus on the fight and hype it up, unlike The Mayweather All Access crap which has him showing off all his toys and leisure time...not to mention his baby mamas and all that boring ass ****.
