I mean it's destined to be an entertaining fight. Mayweather is always the favorite so whoever his opponent is (95% of the time) it's just a formality that Mayweather will beat them.
Khan is almost always in dramatic fights because of either his blistering speed or his questionable defenses. Mayweather will almost certainly go for the knockout, he said he should have knocked out Guerrero and he wanted to knockout Canelo. I guarantee he'll try to knockout Khan and there's a decent chance he pulls it off, unless Khan improves (or at least returns to form) and puts on some sort of virtuoso performance.
Now if Khan beats Alexander (which is by no means guaranteed) is that enough to convince you that Khan vs Mayweather is a legit fight, in terms of Khan's level as a Mayweather opponent? That level would be about the same as most of Mayweather's other opponents in recent years.
