The majority of British media and fans will eat it up too and start trying to justify a claim of being #1 in the division for whoever is holding the IBF belt in no time. "Geale won IBF from the longest reigning Champion in Sturm so Barker has the strongest claim"

That would be ideal but you know Geale won't fight Golovkin before he gets his Barker rematch. Barker even gave Gary Shaw options on some future fights like this was the Blinky Palermo or Don King 1980's era.

Is Barker going to fight Sturm, then Geale? If so that sucks, that belt is tied up for a year. You're right, Geale won't fight anyone before that rematch. Surprised Hearn let Shaw get future options on Barker TBH.

I know you follow and know GGG pretty well, who do you honestly expect him to face next year?

Im still not 100% if Soliman or Sturm is mandatory and what the ruling on his dope tests were. I think is Sturm too.

Hearn said on film he would only let Barker fight Golovkin if no other options were available so evidently giving Shaw options for a Geale shot was the lengths he would go to avoid it.

I'll do an RBR for Alvarez-Miranda for those interested.

                  Round 1

Alvarez outworked him mostly, didn't land anything huge. Miranda didn't look too bad though and landed a couple of good shots. Got a little chippy with rabbit punches in a clinch about a minute in. Good ole Miranda.

                    Round 2

Alvarez still outworking Pantera and winning this round as well. Landed a left hook that appeared to buckle Miranda, but it was a stumble on Edison's part. He appears to be looking for one big bomb, but he's getting outworked badly.

                    20-18 Alvarez
