In my opinion, his most glaring omission was not pushing HBO for his first PPV versus Tszyu when he decided to fight Juuko and remain at lightweight. Great match-up for the unified super lightweight world title was lost forever just so he could face a mandatory contender (smdh) HBO and Team Mayweather could have vacated lightweight one would think in favor of a bigger fight right? The one fight I will always say Floyd should have but didn't fight is Cotto in 2008. Cotto was undefeated, an enormous name and big money. Floyd was supposed to fight Oscar in a rematch then Cotto but went into retirement. Truly sad it didn't happen at that time but it was a great fight last year.

The talk was that the winner of Mosley vs Cotto and the winner of Hatton vs Mayweather would fight each other is a mega-fight.

But as you said Floyd went into retirement.
