What if Mayweather has had talks with Golden Boy and Khan's people about fighting him next, regardless of whether he beats Alexander or not? I have to think Khan at least thinks that is happening. He's never really ducked anyone, and the only thing I could imagine would make him pass on Alexander is that he thinks Mayweather will pick him next.

I can't imagine Mayweather would fight Khan without the Devon win, but maybe Khan is hearing talk otherwise.

And I think it known that I am a big Devon fan. He's from my city, and I have literally watched him fight since he was a young amateur. But all of that is beside the point. Has nothing to do with me being a fan of his. The reality of the matter is that Amir Khan has no business "waiting" for a Floyd fight when there is a welter out there waiting and wanting to fight him. A fight that many of us were for sure would be next not long ago. A fight that Amir has gone on record saying he wants. Now, why the stall? And more than that, why are YOU giving him a pass but rip other fighters when they do just what Amir is doing?
      Exactly........................

Showtime should not accept Khan as an opponent for Mayweather.

Amir Khan waiting for Floyd is media talk. I personally don't believe Khan would take a 13 month lay-off before the biggest fight of my life.

Who's right between us two? We don't know yet so why are you speaking so matter of factually about something that is speculation and hearsay?

            1. It would suck if that were the case. Because IMO he has to win to fight Floyd, period. And I mean, when was the last time he won and looked good in the process?

            2. I'm really calling Dirk out on his hypocrisy with this whole situation. He wants to bash other fighters for "ducking/avoiding/making business decisions" then gives Amir a pass.

And he shouldn't, especially at this point. It's not a good fight. I'm of the opinion that the Danny should get a shot. He's beat Khan and just beat the other top guy at 140. Actually, I have always thought that the winner of the Danny-Lucas fight should get Floyd next.

              .
As far as I'm aware, Khan hasn't made any decision yet. Neither has Devon despite the self-imposed "deadline" which passed 4 days ago

And the writing is on the wall, why he (Amir, of course) has not made a decision.

Explain or are you just going to "LOL" your way out of using actual reasoning?

Not really. Khan doesn't need Devon Alexander. That much is obvious. If Devon thinks he can get more money just because he has some bastardised belt, then he's wrong. Khan has a multitude of people he could fight in December and earn good money. Devon has one payday out there - Khan. He should wait patiently like a good boy.
