Would Khan do a better job against Floyd than Canelo was able to?

Obviously Canelo has the power advantage but power seems to be virtually useless against Mayweather. Khan's style of volume, speed, footwork could be more of a test for Floyd, providing Khan didn't get caught with too many heavy shots. Floyd does have decent power himself but it's not devastating one punch KO power so Khan might be able to take a few more risks, exchange more, land more and survive. However, he is a pattern fighter, he can be timed quite easily as Garcia showed. I couldn't see Khan winning much more than 4 early rounds against Floyd before Floyd began timing him to perfection.

But overall he could prove to be one of Floyd's tougher opponents, purely because of the style match up and speed. Do you think he'd do better or worse than Canelo?

I don't think so, but he might be able to win the first few rounds until Floyd adjusts and figures him out.

I'd agree wih you if khan's chin wasn't so bad. But after two rounds of hard right hand leads and counters, khan would be uncomfortable and picked apart. People need to remember that this isn't the khan that faught judah and peterson.

I think it would look like the judah fight.
Khan would start off fast, moving around, throwing combos.
He might even sneak a couple debatable rounds b4 mayweather outclasses him later.

It might be better style wise for khan more than canelo because Floyd doesn't press for an early ko, and favors outlasting and frustrating his opponents.

If mayweathers hands weren't so brittle I'd put my money on Khan getting tko'd in the later rounds though whereas even b4 the Alvarez fight I never saw floyd knocking him out

yeah cuz maidana, judah ( who hurt garcia ) and lamont peterson were able to KO him.

Mayweather doesnt knock him out, Khan makes it interesting for the first 3 - 5 rounds. once may uses his footwork, he UD's him.

He'll absolutely get picked apart. Unless you haven't realised Khan doesn't seem to be attacking with volume like he did under Roach. Against Diaz he was picking one or two shots here and there.

The Khan from Roaches Wild card Gym would give a much better fight but not the Khan from Virgil's gym. He seems to still be open for hooks and over hand rights whilst having decreased his volume.

Agaisnt Mayweather IMO he would be completely picked apart and stopped with precision perfect hurtful timed shots whilst using his movement. Khan won't even trouble Mayweather with his shots/power.

i think kahn would give him a tougher fight FOR A WHILE but his chin is just too damn weak and floyd's right hand just too accurate. I see kahn's speed actually winning him 1 or 2 of the first 3 rounds or so but once floyd figures him out and starts timing him kahn's chin will let him down.

He might be able to win one round tops early on. The overall fight wouldn't have any competitive rounds unlike the Alvarez bout

Amir is one of the lowest ring IQ star fighters. Alvarez is one of the highest ring IQ star fighters
