  • Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder-Nicolai Firtha on Hopkins-Murat Bill

BoxingScene.com has been advised the undefeated heavyweight ****er Deontay Wilder (29-0, 29KOs) has found an opponent for his fourth fight of the year, as he faces Nicolai Firtha (21-10-1, 8KOs) on October 26th in a Showtime televised fight from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Firtha has been stopped a number of times, including a fifth round TKO defeat to Tyson Fury in September 2011 (although Firtha seriously rocked Fury in the third). But, he also went the distance with Alexander Povetkin, Johnathon Banks and several others.

None of Wilder's opponents in 2013 have lasted more than two rounds.

Another microscopic step up for Wilder...or perhaps a step down.

Even with my sight its hard to tell. Scanning......scanning....inconclusive....error... .

Wow... A little disappointing but that is the boxing game... Like said by PBP, he is obviously going for the 30KO mark.

This guy was already stopped by Fury. Wilder is moving backwards.

Another stiff for Wilder to knock out. His team better be careful. He is already 28 years old. By the time the Klithschkos actually retire he may be past his prime and unable to defeat a quality opponent. If that happens, he will have nothing to show for his career except a lot of KOs against a bunch of stiffs that no one has ever heard of or care about.
