Somebody needs to make a video of that, 'cause I certainly didn't see many during the fight. I'd love to see the proof. I saw one kidney punch early on, where Garcia was lunging towards Matthysse and Lucas caught him in the back. I'd be quite surprised if someone can demonstrate even a half-dozen rabbit punches by Matthysse. And even then, some would've been delivered while Danny was attempting to duck. Lucas wasn't fouling nearly as flagrantly as Garcia was. Not even close.

I'm not saying Matthysse didn't foul. What I'm saying is that Lucas's fouls were nothing you don't see outside the normal course of a fight. Garcia, on the other hand, was fouling at an unusually high and unacceptable rate. The video evidence is right there. Are you going to deny it? Where's the video evidence of Matthysse fouling excessively?

Lucas did not fight dirty. Danny did. However, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't fault Garcia. He did what was required to win. It was the ref's job to see to it that the fight was clean, and Matthysse's responsibility to give it right back.

I've liked both fighters for some time and was torn between choosing a winner. In the end I picked Danny cause of the disrespect posters were giving him. Now I'm even more glad that he outclassed Lucas. His fans are garbage crybabies acting like he was Hercules or something.

I for one don't care what Danny did in this fight. I was tired of reading about Lucas superiority. Danny, frankly, did the same things that posters say you should do when fighting floyd or ward-make it rough and tough. Now when its done to Lucas all the sudden its a bad strategy? If Lucas is that good then he shopul've been able to adapt.

As long as you don't fault Danny I'm good. But you are complaining a lot about nothing. In a lot of the clinches Matthysse rabbit punched whether on purpose or not. We accepted that. It's a fight, but...do you think Danny fouled on purpose?

Why are people pretending dirty fighting wasn't a tactic of Garcia's in this fight? It very clearly was. He wanted to physically bully the big puncher, and it worked. Trying to blame every single obvious low blow on "his head being pulled down" is ridiculous.

Garcia fans are whining a hell of a lot more than Matthysse fans are.

I have little doubt the low-blows were part of Garcia's game-plan. It turned out to be a good strategy. Weeks did nothing until the final round, when Danny literally landed a bomb on Matthysse's nuts. But I also blame Lucas for not returning the favor every time Garcia went low. I would have.
