And as for Matthysse landing low, he didn't. I have no problem acknowledging Lucas hit behind the head and even in the back a couple of times, but he didn't stray low. Even if he did, it was so rare that there's no point comparing his infractions with Garcia's.
So Matthysse did hit in the back and back of the head, it's just that the low blows by Danny were more harmful right? But Matthysse kept on trucking like Agbeko did, lmao.

Matthysse fans have hung their hat on every possible excuse as to why Matthysse lost. I don't blame you. When you're in shock, you'll do and say anything to deflect reality.

I'm really not trying to take anything away from Garcia. I thought he fought smart. Everything he did worked very well. I'm not insinuating the low-blows were part of his plan; I'm clear about it. I believe they were. I might be wrong, but I think the evidence is pretty convincing. However, as I and many others have already said, a fighter gets away with whatever the ref and his opponent allow.

I tend to agree. But the point is, you can't isolate those three flagrant shots to the nuts. Garcia landed low repeatedly. He just happened to be on target those few times.

Let me ask you: How many times do you see low blows of that precision in a typical fight? I'm sure you've seen many fights. Wouldn't you say that even one blow directly on the stones usually doesn't happen in the course of a twelve round fight? So it happens over and over in a championship match and you don't see anything unusual?

See here's the issue..It land over and over..Three times is not over and over, esp when two landed as a result of the other fighter holding his head down..

            • Like I said, this just sounds like crying imo..I'm watching the fight right now(4th time)let me point out,Matt's started the fouling very early..I would like anyone who can watch this fight now,go check out rd 2..Matt's intentionally hit Garcia in the back(kidney shot foul),and right after hit's Garcia with two rabbit punches..I'm watching this right now, before Danny did any fouling of any kind..Matt's was the one..

Go see for your self if you have time..A close rd one,no fouls..Opening of rd two Matt's opens up with two fouls..I mean come on now..

The man landed approximately twenty low blows, three of which were directly on the cup. When you consider that it doesn't usually occur even once in a twelve round fight, I'd say that qualifies as "over and over." Hell, by definition, if the ref deducts a point, the fighter was doing it "over and over."

                  • I thought Danny won convincingly but damn he fought dirty in that one. Reminds me of Mares vs Abeko.

                    • We need Weeks to ref more big fights. More refs should follow his lead.
