If you or anyone else in this thread feels one win trumps a resume, then why do you constantly complain about floyd fighting Baldomir instead of Margarito? Baldomir's win over Zab was better than any win on Margs resume at the time. You can get back to me on that.

As far as this question, JMM's best win is a KO of Manny. The Pac KO would've made JMM a legend, except that before he did that he was whitewashed by floyd. SO the Pac KO simply placed JMM above Pac. Manny needs to defeat floyd in order to get ahead of JMM.

JMM was able to KO Manny by signing with TR and taking the fight, even though Manny sought other fights first. Lets see if Manny shows the same heart and gumption to sign with TMT to get a chance to KO floyd.

this a good point ... and to add

if we based it only on the best win, I agree JMM is have the better win in Koing pacquio, Floyd dont have a win to match that, but as the whole career it may be a different story

      your choice...
best wins for JMM, pacquiao, barrera, casamayor

I can say that the last 5 mayweathers fight where boxing lessons while Jmm last 5 were all action.
You wont build a legacy as the greatest for exciting fights. People will rate you on your skill level. Its not that Mayweather cruises to a UD. Its about how dominating he is. He makes guys look like fools. Makes them look clumsy. Whether he gets a UD or a KO is irrelevant. Floyd's dominance is what will make his legacy!

There's been nothing but respect for Marquez on this thread. People reaeily admit that his KO of Pacquiao is a greater single feat than Mayweather has I his career. But if you list 10+ best wins for both guys, the picture is a little clearer. Mayweather has more depth in his resume over consistently high ranked opponents and champions.

Both great, great fighters. I feel privileged to have seen them.

Floyd is arguably number 1 atg or close to it. JMM resume might be better per se but that is not the only factor in this discussion

                    This goes without saying.

Mayweather gets zero credit for beating Marquez, true boxing historians recognise the result as void.

Exactly I only see one guy getting disrespected in this thread and it sure as hell isn't JMM.

Still JMM is a great fighter and a hall of fame fighter whom is one of my favorites, it is a shame he is being used in such a way.
