ORANGE, Calif. - Not content with his stunning ninth-round victory over Rafael Marquez in early September, newly ranked WBC #15 super bantamweight Efrain Esquivias is anxious to get back in the ring and fight for a world title.
"The super bantamweight division is filled with great fighters and champions, but the one guy that I would love to tangle with in the ring is WBC champion Leo Santa Cruz," Esquivias said. "It will be an exciting fight for the fans, I like to throw a lot of punches and so does Santa Cruz. It would be a great fight."
With recent news indicating that bantamweight title holder Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno passed on a bout with Santa Cruz in favor of a fight with Koki Kameda later this year or in early 2014; this consequently opened the door for Esquivias' long awaited title shot. [Click Here To Read More]
