Golovkin, Martinez, and Canelo are all roughly the same size when it comes to weight, so I'm assuming Golovkin's power and relatively small fan base has more to do with Espinoza's decision to exclude him as a possibility than size per se.

I'd definitely prefer a Garcia fight over one with Khan, although I recognize there is more money in the latter. Pacquiao-Mayweather is a fight I still want to see and I've always wanted to see Mayweather-Martinez. Those fights would have probably been better 1-3 years ago, but I'd just be happy if we got them at this point.

It's always nice to see the best challenged by quality opposition. Floyd has a tendency to make it look easy though.

if they were really looking to challenge floyd they'd head up the scales. there is nobody at 154 who can beat him. he just fought his best contender there.

they want mayweather to win these fights.

io think they'll chug along on the low ppv buys and save thesmelves money by gettinghim opponents with low pay grades, and not spending a ton to promote the thing.

the guerrero fight tanked because it cost too much money to put on, not because 750K $70 ppvs aren't worth anything. they're worth more than 50 million dollars. you can make money off of that if your operating costs are low.

the issue with showtime is this:
floyd commands too much money. theyt don't make any money when they only do 50 million in ppv sales, because they have to pay such a huge garantee to floyd mayweather.

they made their bed, and now they're sleeping in it.

expect them to look toward a pacquiao fight if the next ppv doesnt' do well.

Please go watch mayweather' sparring session for the cotto fight. He prepared for and fought the exact same fight. U and Guerrero were both fooled by what u saw. I think the fight was tougher than Floyd expected, but that was the fight and him roger wanted to fight. Stop diminishing your credibility. U look silly.

His list of foes was interesting. He was quick to point out the flaws.

Personally I wouldn't pay a dime to see JR fight Khan, and Danny's too small, unless Jr would come to like 142 and not cheat on him like he did to JMM, but then Dannys to slow.

With the antics Jr and the Mayweathers produced when Pac was in his PRIME on a rampage slaughtering everything that got in the ring, and blaming blaming blaming else where instead of PUSHING for the fight that could have been made, then , I don't see Jr fighting Pac unless he sees a MOST diminished and finished Pac then he will proceed. Jr always picks the broken over the strong, the old over the elite, the shop worn over the Prime.

Since Floyds boys don't like the question I proposed yesterday, I think it good that LYLE would answer the question without explanation to dim his answer. Based on Jr's history of choosing opponents which Sugar Ray Leonard would JR have Picked or chose to fight:

          The Leonard that fought Hearns

          or

The Leonard that fought Terry Norris ?

simple question but the answer is earthquake shattering, hahaha

Why choose a Sergio Martinez that is OUT of his PRIME now and every fight gets hurt , the load is too much now, injuries have hurt the HOF'er, Why didn't JR Choose to fight the Sergio Martinez that fought Hearns ? OH oh, sorry maybe we should say Paul Williams ?

154 is 154 and if GGG can make 154 why not ? JR is the lineal 154 right ?

Are we afraid ? They all hollared skills pays bills not size pays bills so what the hay ?

Throw ol GGG in there and take his Crown or wait til GGG takes the crown from SM and then fight GGG

Why not go out in a blaze of Glory for PRIDE and Bragging rights instead of sneaking yer way to 49 and 0 ??????????

          I got news fo ya mangs,,,,,,,,,,Jr's 49 and 0 will NEVER match Marcianos 49 and 0 with 43 KO's ,,,,,,,,,,,,NEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't understand you. You're a fan of Pac, but most of your posts are about Floyd and what he should do. Not once does it seem that you actually look to see what your favorite fighter can do to enhance his legacy or make a check.

Exactly! This scrub never says pac should face GGG or "Sugar Ray Leonard" and always brings Floyd up. I think dude is obsessed with him.

At this point the Pacquiao fight will be more of a negative for Floyd legacy wise. He will beat him easily but everyone will just say he ducked him when they were both prime.

Yeah, cause a past prime Floyd beating a past prime Manny is just not fair.

Khan - a fight in the UK would be huge. If team Mayweather is considering this event, they will advise Khan not to fight Alexander beforehand. Too risky for Khan.

Pacquiao - still the best money event by far. Manny has to destroy Rios at minimum, then maybe beat Bradley to set up a fall 2014 fight.

Garcia - needs a solid performance at 147 before tackling Floyd. PPV would do better than Guerrero event.

Martinez - great for Floyd's legacy but the weakest money maker.

Floyd will be satisfied with decision victories so the first three are acceptable in terms of risk vs pay. Style-wise, he will have to work much harder against Martinez.

Showtime does not need bigger opponents for Floyd to increase profits. They just have to get Floyd to take greater risk and go for KOs. i.e. make exciting fights.
