Honestly I think that the new version of Chisora would give Wlad more of a run for his money.
I agree and the belief that I think Chisora would do well against Wlad is also what makes this one interesting.

I just wonder if Povetkin has that little bit of craziness about him that will enable him to take the risks that Chisora definitely would against Wlad. He definitely carries more power than Del Boy and that left hook he throws looks far more dangerous than anything Del has in his locker. But with Del Boy you're pretty much guaranteed a '**** it!' and go for it attitude, constant pressure and lots of punches.

Povetkin as a seasoned amateur might be more calculated and just get picked off like all the others with the job whilst failing to get into range.

It is a bit mad that guy with an 18-4 record is probably one of if not the most legit contender out there. Got to love Del Boy!

Wlad is so predictable and yet somehow he goes almost a whole decade KOing pretty much everyone out there. hm....

Sasha has underrated hand and foot speed and, unlike most of the Heavies out there, can fight inside and really puts combinations together well. I am wary, given past cancellations etc. of getting too excited; wonder if HE thinks he can win.

If he does, I think this is a fight that could be a real two-man Heavyweight title fight. Been awhile.
I'm looking forward to it as well. Add that this is not under the K2 banner (and no Manny Stewart obviously), so Wlad is certainly out of his comfortzone.

This could be the best HW title fight in a very long time. Hopefully Povetkin comes in way better shape than against Huck.

Don't get me wrong with what I'm about to say because I think Wlad's going to use Povetkin's head for a basketball-PROBABLY- but what gives me the thought it won't be like that is Chagaev tried to take the fight to Wladimir and that wasn't anything like his style normally. He doesn't pressure opponents. He was actually doing what most of these guys won't do against Wlad. He used a new game plan even though it worked terrible, but he had the guts to do something different in being a forward moving fighter whether he liked it or not. Povetkin is NATURALLY a forward moving fighter that throws combinations and uses pressure, and he's bigger than Chagaev by a significant amount, is used to pressuring people, is used to throwing a lot of punches in quick crisp combinations.

Unless he goes full p-oo-s-ee on Wlad he'll be doing what he naturally does well. He don't have the power in one punch like Haye or Peter but he's more athletic than Peter ever thought about being and more of a lead puncher than Haye ever thought about being. To me that's the only hope that anybody can have that Povetkin makes it good or even gets a win if Wlad's still Wlad. Povetkin knows aggressive fighting, the dude can be hurt but he's always been able to fight while he's hurt. He doesn't lose his **** like some guys when he gets buzzed. He still throws combinations and stays on his feet even when he gets straight clocked into fuzzy town.

If Wlad pushed it, he could get rid of Povetkin in one round.

Meh, I expect Wlad to whip him.

I'm sure it will be an easy fight for Wlad, but I am still excited about it.

By that logic, you must rate Rahman with Ali.
