I was asking someone else (on this thread) to Google a little and post here a quote or a link that would make proof that Danny and his team ever provided Lucas with an answer whatsoever to his calls for a fight. The quotes or links would have to hold a date of issue somehow before Schaefer told the media about this fight...

Look. If you broke your hand during the fight...or sprained an ankle...or got cut by a headbutt, then you could argue if it was an reasonable excuse. However, Lucas' eye got damaged/shut because he was punched in the face. A PUNCH.

They might as well just say: "Well, if Danny hadn't thrown any punches, we would've won". Both statements are equally ******.

Lucas lost. He didn't even complain about it. Move on.

There was not just A punch... There were quite a few of them -- into the 7th, Danny repeatedly landed left hooks and jabs precisely onto Lucas right eye... Danny did brilliantly his job in that 7th round...

Not a good look for Team Matthysse. They just proved they only had 1 gameplan going into the fight. It's better to keep their mouths shut and try to land another shot with some good wins than to go around making excuses. Danny, adjusted and controlled the fight and proved he's more than just a puncher. He showed good footwork and faster handspeed than usual.

I answered you but you never answered back. Garcia has never went on record to say he didn't want to fight Matthysse. All he said was Matthysse ain't have no titles and he was just another regular tough guy. He never was forced to fight him. What happened after the Peterson fight? Fight got signed. Schaefer already explained why it took so long. If team Garcia really wanted to duck the fight I'm sure they could have fought someone else. You are reaching. Schaefer announced the 140 tourney and already stated that the winners of each match would fight each other. Everyone was down.
