You basically have to be miguel cotto with better boxing ability in the center of the ring.

effective pressure/fast snapping jab and movement in the center of the ring

i say both because you need to change your looks on mayweather.

A lot of people are bringing up castillo but in the immediate rematch he got thoroughly outboxed and did the exact same thing as the first fight.

But what really needs to be looked at presently with mayweather is that he is fighting in a different mode now with his FATHER. Floyd is using footwork and using more pure boxing now.

its gonna be hard for anybody to beat him with his combination of ability and style

Be a middleweight, Have 1 punch KO power, be smart enough to set Floyd up to land one big shot to the body. Do this before Floyd begins to figure you out so before the 4th.

Maybe I'm exaggerating but that's the only way I see Floyd losing right now.
I think the previous replies all have to do with smart pressure and it makes some sense but that seems to fail every time the guy is slower(mentally and physically) than Floyd. By the time they're in the sixth round he has them figured out.

Most don't know **** about boxing.

That first Castillo fight has more significance than the second. Castillo won that first fight and going into the rematch he knew had to KO Floyd to get the decision otherwise they would have taken it of him again, which resulted in him fighting a completely different fight with a different style. As a result Floyd had an easier might and was able to pick him of with counters.

To address OP, the 3 gifs you showed were in 3 different fights against 3 different opponents. You can catch Floyd with traps every so often but to do it constantly for 12 rounds? Really? Last I checked Bernard Hopkins was fighting at 175 other than that Rigo at 122 may be able to do that.

Floyd can be beaten with multiple styles, but it's about how good you can apply that style. For example Hearns would have completely picked Floyd apart with boxing, Whittaker would have out slicked him, Duran would have pressured and broke him, while Hagler would have founded him into a stoppage (remember same day weigh ins). The only problem is no one can apply there style like any of the mentioned could. 5 years ago there were much better challenges for Floyd - Matinez, Pac, PWill, Margo. There is pretty much no one now. One guy in this era who I would put money on against Floyd would have been a guy called Vernon Forest (RIP). He was like a less polished version of Hearns with less power, but I always though he could have picked Floyd apart with that jab.

The only fighter who can beat Floyd is a lefty with very quick hands, feet and head. That is why Floyd has too many excuses for not fighting the Pacman. If you are right handed like Canelo, Floyd's body would be at a 45 degree angle and he has his left shoulder and arm raised up and his head is even further, if you want to hit him be prepared because Floyd's right hand is ready and is at an angle to hit you because his right foot is stepped back for a right hand shot at 180 degrees against his foot. This is evident in round 8 against Canelo when Canelo hit Floyd's left arm, he got a counter shot to his head. If he did this against a lefty, most of his front body would be exposed and he would not have a power shot to his front because both his legs are at a 90 degree angle against his right or left hand. A lefty can hit him hard on his front body and head and swing quickly to the left or right like we have seen the Pacman to avoid a counter shot.

A lefty can also give trouble to Floyd by stepping on his front foot to prevent him from running. Boxing analysts always see this as a normal legal thing when right and left handed fighters meet.

Some of Floyd's punches toward Canelo are done where Floyd's hand and foot are further apart, and Floyd does this because he always fights at a distance. Floyd knows that a fighter with very fast footwork can make up for the distance. He has seen the Pacman do this in many of his recent fights, and is a concern for him.

You can see that Guerrero had more success hitting Floyd than Canelo, because his is a lefty, but Guerrero is slow. Floyd fought him because he wanted to try a lefty, but wanted to play safe and picked a cherry, and do some practice to decide if fighting the Pacman for him is possible.

Nevermind about Marquez hitting the Pacman with a methodical trap and su****ions of undetectable PEDs in Marquez. Bradley's win against the Pacman is not even worth debating. Assuming the Pacman goes back to his old ways of winning and staying away from his time grabbing pastors, and convincingly defeat Rios, he is the only one and the one who has a style that can beat Floyd. Unless Floyd comes up with many more excuses.

What ever they do Floyd adjusts and then its all over red rover , best ring intelligence in history .

It makes me laugh how the experts in here have him all figured out but 20 world champions and the greatest trainers in history cant figure him out , it because of a very simple equation , action =adjustment = reaction , he is the best ever at it .

They cant catch him when you guys gunna realize it , your like junkies feeding dollar coins in a slot machine , just one more time this will be the one .

An all out attack from the opening bell. Throw everything, windmills, haymakers all that ****! Give it everything for three rounds! No science to it or nothing. If after three your spent and it didn't work, f it get ko'd. Anybody with a plan will get beat up and embarrassed over 12 rounds anyways

*always remember that you wont catch floyd with the same monster shot twice*

                      now, a few tips

he ALWAYS LEANS when hes gonna throw the straight right.. ALWAYS

he ALWAYS gets on his rear tippy toe and does a weird thing with his neck when hes about to time you on a pull counter

if i fought him, id try to pretend that i didnt know that, and throw something lazily LOOKING for him to counter me, and then id counter his counter

id ALWAYS be looking for his counters and trying to get him to throw counters on purpose

finally.... id fight this guy so dirty... id punch his hands.... smash his wrists somehow... bust up his elbows... aim the jab at his neck... hip shots... knees... shots to the side and back... lead with the head alittle bit maybe cut him... anything it takes to let him know he isnt in just a regular boxing match where he always likes to be
