He's probably got to knock out Marquez and I don't think he's going to get that opportunity again.

However a run of wins against guys who like to rumble would earn him good money and get the hype train going again.

People love a bloodbath more than anything else.

You think a random dude is going to be more impressed by Floyd's subtle masterful adjusting of his game to beat Canelo? Or by Pacquiao massacring some dude, and looking good while doing it?

Of course, it won't return to the same level, but quite a bit of the heat and hype will be back, but of course it won't be the same.

If Rios knocks out Manny. Expect the ped card if the lucky punch card is not used

I fully expect Pac to punch about a thousand holes into Rios, who, for me, makes much more of an impression with how much punishment he can actually absorb and still come forward. The kid is tough as nails, no doubt. But I think he can absorb a better shot than the one he can deal. Because of this, I think he is tailor made for the kind of fighter Pac is (was?) -a high volume, mega-offensive puncher/boxer. So I'm gonna look for a Pac stoppage sometime between Rds 9-11, at which point, yes, to the casual fan, the hype of May-Pac will be placed back on the front burner.

Rios is a superbum. If Pac is not too damaged, I expect him to blast through Rios.

Great Boxers come back from that tough fight and are still be as marketable as they once were. And if he knocks out or owns rios, people will be talking about him again.

Plus, if he beats Rios, Besides maybe Pacman and Floyd, he has got the two biggest potential Fights in boxing, Pacman vs Bradley, or Pacman vs Marquez. No other fight that mayweather can have can come close to those two in my opinion.
Why wouldnt you mention Bradley ? Regardless of how you or most other people scored the fight, what did the actual fight itself do for Pacquaio ? Lets say Pacquiao got the decision against Bradley... Did he look good doing it ? Bradley was relatively unknown to the casual fan, you know the guys who believe the hype in the first place.. if Pac beats Bradley they are either saying "wow that Bradley guy was better than I thought"... or "wow Pac looked like **** tonight"... Pac has a long road to regain his "hype" he hasnt looked like "PACQUIAO" in years ... Rios is a good start but he would need to string together a few ko's against quality guys and GBP has 40-54 pretty much locked .. winner of Provo Alvarado would be nice though

Rios is suppose to lose and lose badly...thats why he was picked man...and if a Bradley rematch and 5th damn Jmm fight is what his fans have to look forward to then he might as well retire...Arum is ruining the man with these recycled ass in house fights

Lets be truthful here , Manny hasn't looked like Manny since his last CW and Margarito needed diuretics to make 150 , the 26 ft ring and illegal 8oz gloves helped lots to keep the drained sloth away from corners .

The last great Manny performance before that was the " I will never sacrifice my body like that for another fighter " Cotto , again at a CW .

The time before that was deadman walking " I need IV fluid infusions to gain 2 lb " Oscar , again at a weight Oscar had not seen in over 10 yrs .

The time before that was I got a new trainer and a coke habit Hatton .

All coming of big loses .

See any patterns guys , the rest of his resume against healthy opponents is ordinary and beaten twice , John Lennon wrote a song just for Manny .

Karma is gonna get you ,
gonna knock you right on your face
                      better get yourself together
pretty soon you gonna be dead .
