everything depends on how well the ppv numbers do for pac-rios....

if they're bad, arum'll be desperate.... and therefore easier to negotiate with

In a recent poll conducted by ESPN's Sports Nation, Boxing fans were asked to vote on who they feel should be Floyd 'Money' Mayweather Jr's next foe? With nearly 40,000 votes tabulated thus far (the polling is still ongoing) a whopping 58% (really should come as no surprise) want Mayweather Jr. to face off against none other than the 'Pacman', Manny Pacquiao.

The next highest name on the list is Danny Garcia, and he pulled in 18% of the votes followed by Adrien Broner with 12%.

Amir Khan edged out of the last spot with 7% of the votes just coming in ahead of Miguel Cotto with 5%.

58% of the votes from a calculated 39,782 cast votes is a lot and speaks volumes that even to this day a majority of fans truly believe there is unfinished business between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

And let's face it... if Mayweather vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has become the highest grossing PPV to this date (as the SHOWTIME press release sent out yesterday indicated it had)... I imagine Pacquiao vs. Mayweather can and would surpass #THEONE in terms of PPV sales.

So fans, if you still want Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, keep your voices heard... and at 58%, there is a lot of you.
The fans who want Mayweather to fight Pac should be writing Bob Arum and blowing up his phone because he is the one preventing this fight from happening. He was the one who kept it from happening after the first failed negotiation and in 2012 when Mayweather called out Pacquaio. The majority of the people who post on this message board are too ****** to realize that and continuously point out that Mayweather only offered Pac $40 million when he called him in 2012. They refused to accept or acknowledge that Pac couldn't take any offer Mayweather made, even if it was $100 million, because Pac has no authority to negotiate on his own behalf or even choose who he fights.

As long as Pac remains ****** enough to continue to resign with Arum and as long as Arum can continue to get gullible Pac worshippers and idiots to buy fights like Pacquaio/Rios, Pac/Bradley II, Pac/Alvardo and Pacquaio/Marquez 18, a Pac/Mayweather fight will never be made.

ESPN wants a lot, but refuse to give Floyd credit for his wins and now want him to fight a guy that will get knocked out by Rios when they fight. I guess Manny should get equal pay as well , huh?? Manny had his chance, but he decided to get pimped by ole Bob instead. I say to hell with Manny, the cheater gets no shot at Floyd for crying about taking the test. Furthermore, he doesn't deserve no more then (at th most) 500k, since $40million was to much when it was offered......

Hate to remind you but it was Floyd that kept on putting FRESH NEW ROADBLOCKS not Manny!!!!

The issue was PEDs testing "Take the test and we have a fight" then Manny agreed but Floyd NOT Arum nor Manny puts a new roadblock!

and the funniest part of this is that you point out that Manny wouldn't have accepted even $100 million but the truth of the matter is that Floyd didn't!

Finally, it's funny that when the opponent gives in, like Canelo accepting a 152lbs CW, that according to Floyd's fans and Ellerbe and Floyd, Canelo's team was too dumb to accept it but then when someone like Manny or if you wish Arum stands his ground Floyd and his fans still complain.

Floyd is actually improving and has been getting better lately. Pac is on serious decline and getting KTFO recently

For a fight this size, even a 15% split would still bring in Manny's biggest payday of his career most likely, lol.

I like how people say Pacquiao has been on a decline lately despite showing no real signs of it aside from getting KO'd by Marquez.

Being KO'd by a shot that would've KO'd everybody else in the division hardly constitutes a "decline."

not to mention he looked sharp against Bradley. And looked real good against JMM up until the KO. Hardly a decline IMO.
