Comments Thread For: Martin Murray-Garth Wood in Play For Nov. 30th

If WBA interim-middleweight champion Martin Murray (25-1, 11KOs) is capable of obtaining a visa to enter Australia, he will defend his title against Garth Wood on NOvember 30th in Sydney. Murray has been out of the ring since losing a close twelve round decision to WBC champion Sergio Martinez on April 27 in Argentina. Wood (12-3-1, 8KOs) had a huge upset in 2010 when he stopped Anthony Mundine in five rounds. But then Wood lost to Mundine in their rematch and was outboxed a year later by Sam Soliman. Wood won his last two, including a win that brought him the WBA Pan African title in May. [Click Here To Read More]

A step backwards for Murray but you gotta take what you can get, especially when you have visa problems

          Lame. Whatever.

Its a stay busy fight. So he can stay busy avoiding all those title shots.

Or Golovkin potentially. I think he needs to work out visa issues for that fight to take place in the US though.

Wood won the WBA Pan African title??? So Australia is now part of Africa. It's not, of course, but those Berkshire Hunts at the WBA are never going to let a thing like geography get in the way of their pathetic business.

Murray seems to be dissatisfied with Hatton.

He claims he wasn't told about the Quillin offer.
