It has just been confirmed that he was in fact wearing headgear. So now all those bs accusations can stop.

No. 1 Haye d-rider anxious to defend his hero for this act of cowardice.

Is it an act of cowardice not to wear a headguard? Or get cut?

Just stop it, you are way out of your depth.

@LacedUp - good call on the cut, so Iam guessing that at least probably pushes any fight back to first/second week of December (earliest) because Haye will need to to heal until mid-October to be sure and then need a minimum of six weeks to build-up a head of steam again. Wonder whether MEN will be free at that time of year?

Gutted about this - I had a little bet on Fury!

Mid October is not enough for a cut as deep as that one. The scar tissue will have to heal sufficiently, so we are talking at least 4-5 weeks. And then an extra half training camp on top with sparring etc (assuming both fighters take 1-2 weeks off before commencing training regimes again). Then you have the problem with PPV. Amir Khan is fighting on 7 december, which is creating another problem.

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if it was pushed until after Christmas, but I think it's big enough to go on 2-3 weeks before Froch-Groves, but it looks unlikely to heal in that time. Season ends mid december, so another guess would be saturday the 14th of December.

Geez. The guy has a legit cut, he needs to let it heal. The timing was unfortunate but sadly injuries happen.

Some of you aren't happy unless you're hating on one boxer or another.

yeah kind of, since he could already have quit sparring. He's obviously an arrogant fuck (as always) who wanted to legitimately 'bust up that last Croatian sparring partner'... then the fucker gets cut on his pretty eyebrow.. I'm all in laughs and I know you are all feeling teary eyed tonight, poor andy
