cotto had serious chin problems at 140............


I'm now convinced. danny will always be underrated on forums.

But he was undefeated... Cotto was chinny but he also had BRUTAL power, he beat guys down at 140. Cotto is simply a massive JWW, Mattyse is only 5'6" and didn't use a jab much but landed when he did. Cotto isn't great at 154 but Mattyse gets slaughtered by anyone in the division, Cotto by KO but he's getting off the canvas in a tough fight, Torres/Cotto style. Cotto's power at 140 made up for his less than granite chin.

WTF is Cottos best win at 140? Miguel Pinto? Randall fucking Bailey? none of these guys were even top 140 lbers or were ever favored to win against him.

Garcia already beat 2 top JWW's in Khan and Matthysse where he was the underdog. That alone ****s on anything Cotto has ever done.

Can't believe I'm going with Garcia. Before last weekend I would have picked Cotto but after witnessing how Garcia pulled off the victory against Lucas it made me respect him more. Cotto at 140 was never his best weight IMO. If he struggled with Ricardo Torres at that weight I think Garcia would do a lot better. Garcia by TKO or decision. Cotto would have some moments though.

Cotto is probably one of my favorite fighters. I just think he was at his best at 147. His chin was exponentially better at 147.

If Cotto fought the Garcia that just fought Matthysse, I would have to favor Garcia.
