Garcia is clearly superior to them in terms of boxing skills, but I don't necessarily agree Danny would secure the KO/TKO because of this.
Fair assessment, but has Torress and Bailey proven their power at Garcia's level, it's easy to KO bums and over matched opponents but it's hard to drop the top dogs, people seem to not understand this, he just dropped a iron chinned fighter who's never been dropped, and almost put him out the ring, sprawled and curled up under the ropes in a fetal position, LMAO......

Cotto looked beastly at times at 140, but he aint really face a fighter at his level there, coupled with his chin being horrible there he doesnt survive this theoretical match. Garcia wouldn't allow him to recover

        Cotto gets WHOOPED by DG.

Who said Torres and Bailey were the hardest punchers ever at 140? You're ******ed. Torres was a BUM!

Who heard of Torres before or after the Cotto fight? Torres was ko'd in one round by Kendall Holt after the Cotto fight. End of his career.

Randall Bailey is a bum too!

Look, I'm not even a Lucas Matthyse fan, and I'm more than confident he beats the 140 Miguel Cotto. Matthyse actually has a nice offensive repertoire. He used nice feints and jabs to hurt Swift in the 2nd round.

Matthyse eats Cotto for dinner and Swift knocks Cotto out early.

Imagine Cotto being aggressive and walking into Garcia's left hook counters. It'd be a sad night for Cotto. SAD!

Tito is the better fantasy matchup for DG. I think Tito would have put Swifty G to sleep.

Lol. These are the types of post that made people turn against Matthysse.

"I think Tito would have put Swifty G to sleep."

You meant to say, "I know".

I'm not gonna start turning on Danny, because certain posters are clearly trolling.

This is like reverse trolling, so people start hating on Danny. I swear, it has to be.

Takes 5-6, clean, flush on the button shots from Bailey, doesn't even blink.

Lol is this a joke... Garcia is one dimensional.. Cotto can pressure ,box of the back foot

People mention Cotto's chin not being as good?? He was hit with monsterous punches everytime he's ever been hurt the same would happen to anyone... He's not got Julio Cesar's chin but he has a decent one...

Also Cotto hurt people with alot more at the lower weights which means he would bodybag Garcia IMO

I just don't know about that. If Cotto is anything, he is a tough SOB. I understand this was at 147 and not at 140, but Margarito was quite probably pounding him with loaded gloves and it still took him until the 11th to stop him. As such I can't really count out Cotto against Garcia even if he got hurt by Corley in their fight at 140. I really do think he would have pulled it out. Would it surprise me or shock me if Garcia won it? No

At the very least it would likely have been a very entertaining fight.

I don't get what you're trying to say.

Are you calling me a troll?

If so, check my post history.

I predicted Danny was gonna beat Matthyse. I'm far from a troll, buddy.

But yet he could barely stand up to the Torres assault.

Was ROCKED TO THE CORE by Chop Chop Corley and got a gift stoppage.

                    Bludgeoned and ****d by Margartio.

Fought a WAR with Zab Judah (who Danny clearly owned).

                    Embarassed by Pacquiao...

                    Pieced by Floyd...

Cotto is as overrated as they come. He beats B level fighters and loses everytime he steps up.

Cotto was nearly KO'd by Chop Chop tho.

Cotto was used to beating guys like Abdullaev and Pinto at 140.

What happenend when Cotto stepped up to the elite level???? He got owned and beaten in front of his wife and kids, that's what.
