Who really cares who brought in the ppv crowd? Floyd was Floyd and Canelo represented a threat that the public believed was legit.

    Boxing won.

Floyd's fans and a Canelos bandwagon fans are arguing who brought in the ppvs, lmao. Boxing won!

If Canelo wasn't on the card, then the Matthysse Garcia fight is the reason this fight possibly sold 2.2. How about this whole card was the reason.

Whatever the number is, its gonna dwarf Canelo's next show and render this entire asinine debate moot.

WOW. thats GREAT for boxing. i honestly didnt think it would break 2mil.
i thought it would hit around 1.8.

it was a PERFECTLY put together card. and the timing was PERFECT. this was the first BIG ppv event of the year (floyd/guerrero doesnt count).

pac/rios is going to SUFFER greatly, all those people dropped $70+ on floyd/canelo, i dont see those same people dropping $60 on macau fight.

Agree it doesnt matter at the end of the day who brought in the crowd...but it wasnt Lucas and Danny. If those guys could garner even 500K buys they'd have a separate event.

Never thought that they would even come close to May/DLH
                    Great news

tbh I think that Mayweather vs Pacquiao would also pull in around the same numbers even now.

Canelo has never done Floyd numbers on his on. dude only had one PPV. Floyd's been doing #'s before Canelo. Just that Canelo is popular and people figured he could beat Mayweather (well atleast his fans) everything went according to plan. Floyd didn't need Canelo to do over a million but they did need each other to do these numbers. Can't give Canelo credit and not Mayweather. He still holds the highest PPv # for a boxiong match ANd before you say it...... De La Hoya wasn't doing #'s like that until he had a fight with Floyd.
