starting to reconsider Marquez's stance on not fighting Floyd again....

after their first fight where he was severely outclassed, Marquez complained about the weight and how Floyd coming over the contracted weight was a major factor....

I always thought Marquez would have been advised to get in a strength and conditioning coach as oppose to drinking ostrich eggs and urine...

he made those *********s and whooped Manny Pacquiao in two fights at welterweight...

but ruled out fighting Floyd.... and for a long time, I thought it was because of his immense respect for Floyd's skill which was echoed by Nacho...

H/E his refusal to participate in additional drug testing against Bradley even though it was agreed by the promoter. Bradley will be subjecting himself to the testing while Marquez managed to negotiate himself out of drug testing has me suspecting that's why he wouldn't consider another fight vs. Floyd...

Floyd's terms are clear "Take the test"....

and it's also why I think he doesn't want a 5th fight against Pacquiao, now Pacquiao is demanding random blood testing....

those are clearly lucrative fights, that most fighters would be pleading for... but Marquez seems clear on not wanting them...

    what are your thoughts?

Has nothing to do with drug testing, there is nothing he can do to beat Floyd..i have never seen Marquez look so out classed, his face after the fight told the entire story.Even a master boxer like him was lost and frustrated,he was down right embarrassed

there is no reason for JMM to fight floyd again. Floyd didn't beat him using his size, he beat JMM from a distance, with his length and skills.

I can understand the argument that JMM has improved at 147, has more experience at the weight, and will have beaten tim and manny. But that doesn't change what we saw when they fought.

Floyd has proven he is superior to JMM.

          you're right... that's what i thought....

but after the fight he was adamant the weight was the difference.... so why not try and prove that now? coming off career best wins.

              I agree....

but it doesn't disguise the fact that he thought he could have done better... he's emerging as the best of 'top ranks' stable at ww.... why not try and raise some interest from a purely financial standpoint....

he's not done that, and i think floyds stance on drugs testing is why.

Well, Bradley said he would never fight anyone else without both parties partaking in drug testing. Your theory would then suggest that Marquez knew he could bully Bradley out of his testing demands. I'm not really sure about any fighter in boxing but I wouldn't accuse Marquez of taking any illegal substances without actual proof. I don't think he wants to fight Floyd because the odds would be stacked against him. However, recently Nacho said that things would be different in a fight between Floyd and JMM because he is more comfortable at the weight now. I'm not sure of JMM stance on that subject though.

Most of these fighters make excuses after they lose. Even Guerrero had the audacity to imply Floyd ran from him - puleez.

I think JMM has come to his senses when it comes to Floyd. Not a problem. I think he's given Floyd his due respect and knows he can't beat him and doesn't want to go through what was probably his most humiliating defeat in front of millions of people ever again.

Now, in regards to Manny - I think he feels vindicated after losing some close fights, which I think we're judged fairly, and he knows he was getting his azz handed to him right before he knocked Manny out. Bidtch move if you ask me.

Pac vs. JMM 5 would be a worthy fight that would pay JMM a boatload, but I think he's afraid of Pac, regardless of what he says. I also think something about JMM is shady these days. I'm pretty sure he's on the juice, just like I thought Manny was on the juice and ducking Floyd back in 2009 and 2010.
