Martinez wouldn't be the fighter he is today if he didn't think he could beat anyone out there. Martinez is not blind though and he knows boxing. He saw a great performance and gave Floyd his props. Martinez wants Floyd badly and truly believes he has what it takes to beat Floyd.

You're probably right, but Sergio's injuries and age look to be hampering him. I would like to see him get the shot/payday though.

I agree with this 100%. We see things like this all the time with NBA players complimenting their counterparts as being "better than them" or being the "better team", but they come out and still feel as though they can win.

I don't think Martinez wins this fight. I don't even think its a realistic fight due to how much Martinez would have to cut. But the way to beat Floyd is with footspeed, handspeed, power and good boxing skills. All of which Sergio possesses at 160. If it happens under catchweight conditions it is by no means a mismatch like the Canelo fight was.
