I thought that comment went a little beyond respect, but I suppose it could be interpreted slightly differently.

Martinez wouldn't be the fighter he is today if he didn't think he could beat anyone out there. Martinez is not blind though and he knows boxing. He saw a great performance and gave Floyd his props. Martinez wants Floyd badly and truly believes he has what it takes to beat Floyd.
