Garcia can certainly punch but I guess this is a case where the record doesn't really tell the story

It's because of what he's been saying all along. His ability to adjust. He knows whether he can box or he can slug it out.

Matthysse is a durable fighter, no doubt about it. One could say Judah is crafty enough to weather the storm, fair enough... What about the rest?

Make no mistake about it, I love Danny and I think he's great for the sport, I am in no way trying to diminish his accomplishments.

Is KO% that important?

He's always had pop but he's punching harder as he grows.

The kid can crack. If he fought like Rios, he'd have more KOs. He doesn't. He's a proven boxer with an extensive and impressive amateur record.

I don't think he goes into fights looking for a KO. If he hurts a guy, he's shown that he can finish. He shows patience and poise in the ring. He may not collect as many KOs fighting this way, but it will sure lengthen his career in the long run.

I don't think its strange. Danny as never been a 1 punch KO guy. He gets his KO's after an accumulation of punches. He boxes well and many times makes his opponents limit opening themsleves up for fear of getting countered.

When a guy keeps throwing-Khan or Morales for example- he gets in more counter shots and then he can land the hook or KO punch.

He has also fought guys who are rather tough coming up. The locals in philly and south jersey are tough dudes. THey can take a punch like matthysse was doing.

He reminds me of Kendall Holt in terms of power. Both guys can put you to sleep with one shot but they're not always solely focused on going for the KO.

My initial thought was "heck no" but, on second thought, Kendall Holt's hands are faster which gives him more opportunities to land that punch even if their punches have similar effects when they land.

Danny Garcia is getting more confidence in his punching power and has found a punch that "works" in his left hook.
