Margarito was bigger on fight night against Pac than Alvarez against Mayweather, I think. Margarito was 168 or something close.

Pac wouldn't have to deal with nearly as much in return against Alvarez as Margarito was throwing either.

Margarito was never a good fighter above 147. Alvarez is much better than that version of Margarito who never looked good after Mosley crushed him.

Aside from that, Margarito has no defense. Alvarez is not the open target that Margarito has always been.

Prime Manny vs Canelo at 150, I say Pacquiao. Too fast, too much stamina. He'd overwhelm Canelo, who likes to fight at a measured pace and has below-average stamina. That said, now it's a mismatch because Manny is no longer prime. And at 154 you'd have to favor Canelo versus any version of Manny because he's so much bigger. 152 would probably also be too high, Pacquiao is incredibly little.

Guys, Canelo doesn't impose his size, and he's not particularly aggressive. He'd be a sitting duck for a much smaller but also much faster man with a super-high workrate as well.

size really doesn't mean anything....mosley is 5'9" and weighed 168lbs on fight night and he got dropped and humiliated by a 150lb pac..5'11" margarito who weighed 165lbs (same weight as canelo against floyd) got battered and his eye destroyed....
