Why do fighters hype up unproven fighters,yet criticize proven fighters?

    Why do fighters hype up unproven fighters,yet criticize proven fighters?

    Mattyshee,GGG etc etc have not beaten anyone worth mentioning yet people praise them like they are world beaters..yet proven fighters scratch that ELITE fighters like Manny and Floyd get slammed on here daily..what the hell is wrong with ya'll?

    Different level of expectations.



    Also, I think Matthysse is a much more proven fighter than GGG, a guy who is being praised for fighting nobodies.

          Cause people overwhelmingly want to see kos. Boxing has and always will be like that.

            Broner's win over Paulie and Demarco is better then anything GGG has done as a pro..He beat 2 current champions and has gone from 130-147...he actually MOVED UP

              you dont like people getting excited over something in boxing?

                Post Tyson generation of fans are enamored with power.

                Fans can like power all they want, but you have to be able to see the other things as well. Anybody can hit hard but that doesn't mean they can box.

                For **** sake Mike had to KO 20 motha****ers before getting the level of hype Matts did after Mike Dallas Jr. and GGG after Ishida.

                In GGG's case its hard to blame fans though. HBO is just ****tin on sergio. and , to be fair, he at least has a decorated amatuer career where he displayed a lot of skills.
