Comments Thread For: Lucas Matthysse: Big Things Will Still Come For Me

Man, that eye really ***ed him over. Danny took over after it closed. I thought it was a close competitive fight up until then, that Matthysse was edging. But that's part of the sport. Props to Danny for taking advantage. Would love to see a rematch, that I think Matthysse would win, altho cant guarantee that eye not closing again. But if they're both staying at 140 who else are they gonna face?

I can't believe that you still have that crazy "Run Danny Run" picture on your post after the beating that Matthysee took lol. Danny ran alright.. Ran him over with his punches hahahahaha

Matthysse is, and will remain, one of my favorite active fighters. He put up a great fight Saturday night, as did Garcia. Each day that goes by, I see some fools claiming that he got steamrolled, which is a joke. Danny closed the eye and gave what he got, and nothing but credit for his ability to do that and get the 'W', but Matthysse came to fight too and had his moments like when he knocked the **** out of Danny in the 11th round and the mouthpiece went flying. Garcia proved one thing to me in this fight that I now completely respect about him: he has one of the best chins in the game. Lucas will be back though, and I am one of Matthysse's loyal fans who WOULD like to see a rematch. Saturday's fight was both entertaining AND competitive. Been a fan since the Devon fight, and still a fan after this loss.
