Just to say that the eye is what made Lucas lose the fight is not correct to me because Danny's punches were the ones that closed it and Lucas had to adjust himself a bit. Anyway it is a world of what ifs and if there is a rematch I'll be watching and wouldn't be suprised that if it goes one way or another.

I'm not like other posters that are saying that Danny dominated Lucas because it didn't go that way
I think Danny proved that he can beat Matthysse and a rematch would not prove anything but another L on dudes record. The eye argument is ridiculous because Danny was the one who closed his eye so how could Matthysse fans say "If it wasn't for his eye"? Danny was the cause by hitting him with hard counters. Rematch, I can see Danny being more confident and knowing Matthysse better and kicking his ass worst. Some fighters just have other fighters #'s. Lucas could not severely hurt Garcia so there goes his advantage in power. Lucas cannot adjust better or out think Garcia. It's so funny how Matthysse fans are changing up so much. I'm surprised posters on here let BoxingGenius27 live? I think he began the Matthysse hype train and now he is no where to be found.

Oh yeah! I did find him and he is BANNED. Guess he wasn't so much of a genius after all with these way off predictions. Kind of hard being a Matthysse fan these days.

It's ultimately the opponent's responsibility to fight back. Matthysse should've punched Danny square in the sack the first time Garcia went low. Lucas is probably too nice a guy to do that, and he paid the price.
this is the truth right here if the ref won't stop the opponent from fouling its up to the other fighter to stop it A perfect example was 20 years ago almost to the day JCC hit Pernell Whitaker repeatedly low at least 15 times over the first 5 rounds he did it once in the sixth and Whitaker drilled him square in the sac twice in a row and Chavez did not go low not once over the last 6 rounds

Maybe the problem is you don't really know much abou boxing except power. danny's ather had a perfect gameplan and was right all along. Perhaps you should smoke crack before doing your job if this is the type of performance you will have.

Well, **** happens. The next bandwagon will be around the corner in a minute.
Ha Ha, Garcia beat Lucas by 19 punches fighting half a fight with one eye, which is why it is only Garcia fans that don't want a rematch.

          Excuses, excuses

If you take Lucas's power, he has no plan B. Matthysse was fighting dirty as well. It was a rough fight, and Danny clearly came out on top. Danny didn't fight to foul effectively. He reacted off of Matthysse, and his own combos. This wasn't Mares Agbeko. This was a guy throwing the left hook, and another guy grabbing his head while he was throwing the hook. Nothing more. I had no problem with Weeks. He is a good ref.

Read your own sentence again, it definitely sounds like you are saying that Matthysse was getting a taste of his own medicine.

              Also you definitely mentioned clinching...

Yeah, but he wasn't supposed to win that way, let alone win. Danny was supposed to be ko'd by the Machine, and the Machine wound up getting his ass beat, his face swelled, his body hurt, and embarrassed as the favorite. Nobody gave Danny a chance...not even you, and you post this, lmao???

What more do you need to hear? It's like every time you post, the fight is getting closer and closer. Danny beat Matthysse's ass. Whether fans think the fight was a close win or not, Danny beat his ass. There isn't a thing that you can say that softens the blow.

You clowns all ****ted all over Danny, and in the end, the boxing Gods looked out for Danny and gave you Matthysse fans a lesson in humility. Next time don't put so much stock in a dude who only has one game plan.

Danny was starting to catch up to Matthysse by round 6 because Matthysse wasted all of his power trying to hurt Danny, and like all punchers, they slow down or keep their hands low, and it only takes one shot/one lapse in defense to do what Danny did, and Danny swelled his eye up...and beat his ass.

You can try to counter this post, but you aren't changing my mind or any of Danny's fans minds. Your guy lost, so take it like a man and move on.

No, man... In the 7th, Danny repeatedly hit Lucas with stiff lefts until Lucas' eye got shut... Danny kept his nerve and did a good job. The rest is history.

(I was rooting for Lucas, of course...)

Obvious. Garcia delivered his best fight of his career so far.
