  • Comments Thread For: Gradovich-Dib Rematch on for Pacquiao vs. Rios PPV

According to Evgueny Gradovich’s manager Egis Klimas, his protégé will fight next on Nov. 23 in Macao, China. Gradovich (17-0, 8 KOs) will compete against a familiar face in Billy “The Kid” Dib (36-2, 21 KOs), a fighter he defeated for his IBF featherweight title.

“The contract is signed”, said Klimas to Izvestia Russian daily. “We are eagerly waiting for the fight. The party of the 31-year old former champion asked us continuously about a rematch, and they have found the right arguments. Evgueny will fight on the undercard of one of the greatest fighters of the last decade Manny Pacquiao, who is fighting Brandon Rios in the same event."

    Still a weak undercard.

    This fight
    Shumenov/somebody
    Dib/Evandy
    Shiming/Nobody
    Ruiz/Kayode

Some of them might turn out to be entertaining though. I'm looking for what muscle man will do against tubby.

An undercard that might be entertaining, but face value is ehhh

Wish they Would've thrown this on Nov 9 great card instead of PAC's card.

Pretty sure they had a rematch clause... another Olympic Gold Medalist in China would have drawn some interest there though....but them having them on the same show to compare the two would be bad for Shiming

Lol Dib wants to get exposed again? He looked awful in his last fight against journeyman Mike Oliver. Man 50 hasn't got the best advice: Gamboa and Dirrell don't fight and Dib is a bum.

You really can't blame him, I mean what's he got to lose? He had a rematch clause and this is probably his only/last chance st a title shot.

With that being said I agree with Hougigo-card is pretty meh. Shumenov versus a live opponent would of been better since shming is already fighting TBA.

But I'm looking forward to Gradovich-Dib. Dib sucks IMO, and in the last fight he fought a god awful fight- but the skys the limit for Grad after this and I think he is underrated and will surprise some people in this division. Entertaining fighter at the very least so he'll always give good fights. Makes me think they really might be pursuing Donaire-Gradovich if both win, next year tho, for putting this on the PAC card.

Would they pursue it? I know Robert said he'd back Donaire..... but the road to a FW title seems slim and that'd be his only choice. I'm surprised they aren't targeting Chris John or something for Donaire. He's just sitting there in Indonesia and Donaire might be able to win that one... but it's hard as hell to win in the Dragon's Den.

As for Shumenov... I want to give him a pass for not fighting for over a year... but IDK WTF his problem is and he needs to man the eff up. He still has his title after what... a year and a half of no fighting?
