I understand what you're saying, but all these guys (I was also talking about DLH) were kind of underwhelming at the time since Cotto was probably affected by the loss to the (likely cheating) Margarito (still a good performance by Pacquiao though), Clottey wasn't all that impressive as a fighter, Margarito was a cheat, and Mosley was coming off a loss to Mayweather and a draw with Sergio Mora. It isn't all Manny's fault and his victories were still impressive. He's a great one.

Sure but they were still top welters (even washed up Mosley), except Marg not top SWW, but him at 150 > him at 147 > most of today's welter top 10, most blown up from JWW or below. No worries though, well off topic

The guy can barely make 150 while eating steak and pasta everydamnday. With that being said, I would LOVE for this to happen. It may be the only time Floyd would be at least close to being an underdog.

GGG is the new flavor of the month. He's the new hope guy for the Please Kick Floyd's Ass fanclub. I think he's a good fighter. But I'm a let him beat a couple good fighters before I'm ready to put him in the HOF.

That defeats the purpose, and the whole point of this article. Fighters have gone from low weights to win the middleweight title, Duran famously doing it coming up from 118 initially and becoming the oldest middleweight titlist ever at that stage. But, while he beat the guy who beat Tommy Hearns, it still wasn't for the lineal title. The lineal title hadn't been reestablished by that stage yet, and I don't think it as until Hopkins came on.

Anyway, the point being that with Martinez clearly fading now would be the time to get to him and make some history by being the first 5 division lineal titlist, and the first lineal lightweight and lineal middleweight titlist.

Considering he's not having to fight a prime Hagler or Hopkins, its an incredible, historic chance that he should jump at. Martinez, and thus the lineal title, is there for the taking. I don't think there's ever been a chance like this before, with such a weak/faded lineal champ there for the taking for a former 130/135 champ.

Martinez would certainly want the fight as well. I wouldn't really blame him if he wants to cash out at his age.

I dont care who he fights. Hes a punk bltch if dont call out Manny and fight. He wont make any where close to what he can with Manny. And he knows this. He just wants to take the easy coward road. Like hes always done his whole career. People calling this guy great need their ***ing heads examined!

floyd will fight the weakest 160 pound titlist.

If floyd fights GGG then i will NEVER EVER SAY ANOTHER BAD THING ABOUT FLOYD.

                      EVER.

But we all know that will never happen. Floyd will pick an old past prime sergio or one of those weak euro bums holding a title.

                      Floyd would never fight GGG.
