Do you think Mayweather exhibited more skill against Canelo than Rigo against Donaire

Floyd put on a masterclass, but I was honestly more impressed with Rigo's victory. Take a few things into account here: Rigo only had 11 fights coming into the fight, Donaire was highly regarded as one of boxing's elites (P4P) with KO power, and Rigondeaux was the smaller man. I don't agree with people saying he has limited offensive ability, he was really unloading some power shots on Donaire, not just in the 12th round. I love Floyd's performance naturally, but I don't think Canelo is anywhere near the level of Donaire.

EDIT: I misinterpreted the question, I thought it was about who's victory was better. Of course Floyd demonstrated more skills, he's the most skilled boxer in the last 25 years.

LOL how in the Mother*** can anyone use the Mayweather fight to gauge who is better between Nonito and Canelo hahahahaha? Juan Manuel Marquez looked just as helpless against Floyd but oh I guess Juan got exposed LOL!!! And if anyone mentions roids and JMM im going to ***ing block your ****** ass because thats not even an argument.

Don't bother watching the fight again, you're an idiot and it won't matter.

Great question. I was about to make a similiar thread but you beat me to it.

Both were great performances. Both were vs 'heavier' opponents. Both were masterclass one sided beatings.

However, Donaire was the favorite as opposed to Canelo being the underdog.

Combine this with the fact that Rigo was coming in with very little pro exp makes that win a notch better.

          Viva La Rigolution!

Donaire isn't exactly known for his defense and having a diverse attack beyond trying to land a money hook that made him in the first place.

Alvarez was already known to have connect percentages and defensive numbers comparable to Floyd.

While Donaire had made P4P waves over the past couple of years, I don't see him as this highly skilled technician

Rigo is a greatly skilled fighter trying to make a great career. Floyd is a proven great fighter.

                Rigo. He's a better technician.
