it's actually the only fight left that would make floyd a ****load of money. i can't think of anyone left that has that level of name recognition even if pac got starched by jmm. i think if he looks like he hasn't lost a step vs brandon, then some of that steam returns on that fight.

I'm convinced Floyd's marketability/PPV numbers stem mostly from people who want to see him get beat (perhaps that's why Guererro bombed). It's all about salesmanship, and contrary to what he may think, Floyd vs any bum won't do the big numbers. It comes from the Golden Boy PR team making his opponents seem like clear, viable threats. Glass Jawed, china chinned/crude guys will struggle to do that.

The landscape will be different by Feb/March next year, can't see Pac fighting any of the Golden Boy fighters if he gets by Rios.
Don't you mean to say GGG is too big and too skilled since he is about the same size as Canelo. Canelo actually weighed more against Trout on fight night than Golovkin did against Macklin. I agree GGG is an unknown, but just because he is more dangerous than Canelo doesn't mean Floyd shouldn't challenge himself.

I'd give Floyd major props for challenging Golovkin. It'd be somewhat similar to Robinson vs. Maxim. It would certainly add to Floyd's legacy/resume whereas I don't see any other potential opponents except for Pacquiao or maybe Lara doing that.

I think it'd be much easier to market Golovkin as a viable threat than someone like Garcia, Broner, or Thurman. None of the young guys at 140-147 look close to ready. Who knows if they ever will be.

        Mayweather will never fight Pacquiao.

He won't risk a fight against a guy with elite level stamina and chin because his hands are so brittle.

He'll break his hands before he hurts Pacquiao and Pacquiao will never stop going for the KO. That spells disaster for Floyd.

A guy whose name is "Money Team" and worships a guy's bank account who doesn't even know he exists says the biggest money fight that can be made shouldn't happen.

              Makes sense.

                  His actions prove otherwise.

It's pretty clear to anyone who isn't being willfully fed Floyd's bs that Floyd won't fight guys with stamina and chin and who will go for broke against him.
