You Matthysse fans are so desperate. Stop with the whole "Lucas was winning until the eye closed up" This is just making you guys bad. You do realize this is a championship fight scheduled for12 rounds. Danny was very poised, relaxed, and saw Lucas coming. Even the commentators were talking about how relaxed and focus Danny looked. BTW it was Danny who closed the eye. Wow, you guys are really reaching

The clinching is also making you look bad. Lucas lunged in every time he threw a shot (footwork was terrible). Also, there were times when Lucas has Danny on the ropes and he still couldn't do anything with him.

The knockdown was legit. Danny hit Lucas with a body shot that really hurt him right before the KD. You guys have such a hard on for Lucas you can't even be objective.

Danny fought a great fight and you guys need to give him props. Ok, if you don't like his dad or the fact that he KO'd Khan, you can't take away what he was able to do last night which is make Lucas look like a crude fighter who is in love with his power and somewhat 1 dimensional.

There is no need for a rematch. Danny keeps winning and every time Lucas stepped up he lost. Deal with it. I give props to both fighters for fighting each other and giving the fans something to talk about on Monday.

I just found it funny that all these guys here were saying some really messed up things about how Angel was gonna pick Danny's body off the canvas and saying RIP Danny. I mean that was a really inappropriate thing to say because it could actually happen and I would never wish that on anyone. But I understand how keyboard thugs are.

I must say it's really funny to come here and see people making every excuse that they can find to defend Lucas. Just say Danny is a great champion and move on. I mean Danny said that about Lucas right?

If I was Danny I would wait to see if he gets a Floyd fight before I take the rematch; I guess the decision will be mDE AFTER the Khan vs Alexander fight.

And definitely not with left hooks. He was making Garcia miss damn near all of those early.

Lucas was ducking those left hooks beautifully before the closure.

Yes your right,,, lucas was dodging them till the eye closed, but the eye did close due to danny's punches, and lucas showed he was a one-dimensional fighter because after the eye closed he didnt change anything and jsut kept coming forward with the same movement and danny started tagging him

That's your problem, you don't pay attention to details. I just pointed out that its a 12 rd fight not 6, so you really shouldn't have replied. I'm not biased at all. I think Lucas did well, but was outclassed. I had the fight even after 6 and i could see him coming on.

I mean who doesnt like a power puncher? i understand the hard on you have for Lucas, but you need a lil more on that level of boxing.

Hmm, he sure did dominate the 10th rd, and was winning the 11th. How did he not adjust? Or was Garcia just letting up when he barely had a grasp on the fight?

I had it 4-2, and Lucas was taking over the fight in the 5th and 6th before the eye swelled up.

Do you guys realize that Lucas wins that fight if Weeks simply breaks the guys up before the KD? He had two reasons to stop the fight. Danny pulling down on his head, and Lucas being caught up in the ropes because Danny pulled down on his head.

I don't see how people can say anyone was outclassed based on the factors in this fight, and how close it was. Quit mistaking discussing legitimate events in the fight for excuses.
