This fight is gonna happen, #when questioned about it on a FloydHype video I saw, he smiled and said ''that's a nice fight'' money Mayweather would get big bucks and it would sell very, very well. Floyd would whip him easy though and it would be embarrasing in front of all the UK fans in Wembley just 1 accurate lead right would make him do the stanky leg

Besides, in my opinion that fight makes no sense whatsoever.

If GGG needs some big name in his resume, he should fight guys his size or bigger, not a 37 years old welterweight.

Quillin and Martinez are both good fights if they can be made and GGG would become linear champion by beating Sergio.
Or you have Chavez jr who only recently moved up, Ward is looking for an opponent, nothing to do?. Call out Froch, or go get Bikia's belt and then challenge Ward again.

These are good fights for GGG to prove himself as the real deal, not another welterweight.

At this stage, GGG is the one who needs to prove himself, not Mayweather, who is 3 (or is it 4?) fights away from retirement.
I believe GGG would consider fighting him at 152 as well, but I thought Floyd may give him a little bit of break since he is older than Canelo and has never even fought at 154 to begin with. It's an unlikely fight though.

I just think he poses the biggest challenge available to Floyd. Floyd definitely isn't going to fight someone bigger than him since all of the best in Super Middleweight likely wouldn't come down to even 160.

Why did Canelo make sense from a competitive standpoint then? His career has been built on beating up smaller guys. The Trout win was nice, but Trout's best win in the division was against Cotto who was coming off a loss and was never a true JMW to begin with. Golovkin with his amateur background, stellar power, and great timing is likely a bigger challenge. He also weighed less on fight night against Macklin than Canelo did against Trout.

Floyd is obviously great and nothing is going to change that, but if he fights guys at WW within the next two years he is likely going to dominate them all. I, for one, would like to see Floyd challenged a little bit.

I think GGG will soon challenge the top Super MWs if Quillin (Showtime fighter, do makes it harder) and Martinez don't bite. HBO also apparently wants to wait on a Ward fight, so they can build some hype. Who knows maybe he will try to go down to JMW and coax Floyd into a fight? That's unlikely, but could be interesting.

I am not bashing on Golovkin, right now I'd favor him against Martinez. Chavez jr's size might cause him some issue, but I believe he'd outsmart junior.

What I am saying is that Floyd is 37, and is a welterweight. At this stage all he has to prove in my opinion is to be the best in his weight class in spite of his age.

Golovkin would probably try to make 150 or 152 to get a Floyd fight, I agree, but that doesn't make it any better. GGG would fight at a weight that is not natural for him, while the other will be forced to stick and move given the power and size disadvantage.

Personally I don't think Canelo really deserved the fight, I'm not even convinced about the Trout bout to be honest. The open scorecards were ridicolous.
I'm not saying he is a bum, he's a very good fighter, but was hyped to be something he is not, or not yet at least.

As for natural ww's , I understand what you're saying, but nothing is eternal, not even Floyd. His carreer is almost over, I'd rather see him prove to be still the best at his own weight class than chase glory fighting at catchweights like SRL at the end of his carreer (think of Lalonde).

Nobody thinks Khan will beat Mayweather, there isn't a fighter in the world who can in and around his weight class. However, Khan's style will offer a new look and present Mayweather a new puzzle that will make the fight an interesting spectacle while it lasts. I'm tired of boring Mayweather fights, Khan will make the fight exciting and his speedy jab and left hook will land a lot more than people think.

It can't be serious, that's all.

Khan had a moment, before the Peterson fight, where I was ready to consider him a legit contender for a Mayweather fight. I went into the Peterson fight, thinking that was a perfect fight to find out whether Khan could be taken seriously for a Mayweather fight.

He proved then, and in every fight since, that he is not going to give Floyd the least bit of trouble. His speed and combinations will mean nothing because far lesser fighters than Floyd Mayweather have been able to deal with it.

All that being said, if he beats Alexander he will get the fight.

Khan gets knocked out when he brushes his teeth too vigorously.

If Amir spent as much time in the gym as he does flashing his pencil **** on Skype, he might cause Floyd a few problems but he doesn't. Dude doesn't deserve a Floyd payday like he doesn't deserve his wife.

Who cares? Nobody is beating Floyd. He should just cash out against the 4 most popular opponents left since that's all fans care about anyway:

                    Khan
                    Cotto II
                    Canelo II
                    Pacquiao

                    There you go.

Khan getting a Mayweather fight would be a joke. Now if Mayweather can only get Showtime to accept it we can have a good laugh.
