True but he also showed he was a dirty fighter that used dirty tactics like Canelo, Guerrero and Judah did against mayweather!

This Canelo guy obviously dislikes chasing his opponents even when he had to like in his last Saturday fight. If he did the chasing in the very first round the fight might have been more competitive and interesting. Standing with Floyd in the center of the ring is a ****** game plan. That's what made Floyd Floyd. Why don't they ever learn?

I'm not sure why these dudes think that is the way to go. Guerrero did it, and now Canelo. What in gods name are they thinking.

If Ortiz had made it past Lopez, I would've picked him over Canelo.

Say what you want about Ortiz but at least he had the mindset that he was going to make it a dog fight and go out on his shield. Canelo with all of that size advantage was not as aggressive as he could have been.

That's one thing about Margarito or Williams that I wish I could have seen Floyd have to deal with. Those guys would be completely outmatched but they'd still keep on coming forward and throwing punches no matter what for all 12 rounds.

I can't believe Canelo fought Floyd like that.

The best way to fight Floyd is a mixture of what Hatton, DLH, Cotto, and Castillo did.

Hatton had the quick aggression and footspeed. Cotto and Oscar lead with the jab and were defensive and safe before getting inside. Castillo made sure to outwork Floyd every time he was close.

Hatton, Ortiz, and Chavez both made Floyd work but were way too reckless. It's impossible to outbox May. He's the best pure boxer maybe ever. JMM is one of the best technicians and he was absolutely embarrassed.

A prime Mosely and Oscar would have been interesting. Same with Winky Wright.

All I'm saying is that Victor Ortiz had the formula to make it competitive with Floyd. Yes, Ortiz was losing but he was doing acceptionally well for a hand picked opponent. No one can say Ortiz was completely dominated or out of the fight. Ortiz is a combination of everything we think would trouble Floyd: southpaw, size, hand and foot speed, stamina, and volume puncher. I say Ortiz needs two solid wins to come back and I will not accept anything less than a Lopez, Peterson, or Maidana rematch no matter if they all lose their next fights but he needs a win with them for confidence.

I knew Alvarez was going to do that. He had bought into his own hype. Those bull**** scorecards in the Trout fight did him no favors, rather than try to improve on a close fight he could have lost he bought into the "slick boxing" ****.
