Truth be told Ortiz did a lot better than those two. I mean Canelo did have the hand speed but his feet were too slow and Guerrero had no foot or hand speed. Guerrero only had the southpaw stance going for him. Ortiz came in with the right mentality for that fight. He started off at the center of the ring but he did a hell of a lot better job at cutting off the ring than Guerrero or Canelo. In the fourth round Ortiz put combinations together and started landing a few. We knew that Ortiz wasn't going to win a boxing match against Floyd and he switched his tactics against the ropes and every time Floyd would get away Ortiz wouldn't be turned around so quickly like Mayweather did to Guerrero and Canelo. Ortiz had the size weighing 164 on fight night, southpaw stance, the foot speed, and power to make it more competitive for Floyd. We also know that unlike Canelo Ortiz would have had the stamina to keep the punch volume up as well. It's too bad Ortiz lost his mind.
Victor Ortiz showed more in four rounds than Canelo & Guererro

Agree he did do better then both, until he tried to kiss and hug, wtf.
I wouldn't mind seeing Ortiz vs Danny or Lucas, he is always in exciting fights.
I think floyd fought both Ortiz and Cotto differently, then the way he fought canelo and Robert.
Once hes dad got back in his corner he used his legs a lot more. i believe he could of made the cotto fight easier but choose to make it more of an entertaining bout.
Also once he sighed the Showtime contract he didn't have to worry about being in exciting fights. Everything is guaranteed. Just my opinion. -
