I know but he hasn't fought for a world title there yet!Originally posted by .::|ULTIMATE|::.he hasnt beat the top guy at 140.
I was saying that if zab hadn't lost a few weeks ago then Mayweather would have been fighting the top 140. But he beat the best at super feather, Castillo was considered the best at lightweight, he didn't fight Ricky Hatton or Kosta Tsyzu, but i credit him with his world titles because he does have reasonably quality opponents!Comment

Didnt your boy Chico also hold a WBO title?.......Damn some of you guys make it too easy.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoIf you consider Oscar De La Hoya a former Middleweight Champion, you need to get your ****ing head checked. That would be like calling DLH a 5-division champ after he beat ****ing Javier Castillejo. Thankfully DLH went on to beat Vargas for the right to call himself a champion at 154. Beating Felix Sturm for a WBO belt does not make you a 6-division champ. It's like saying Wladimir Klitschko is a former heavyweight champion because he held the WBO title. What the **** ever. I hope some nobody wins WBO titles in 7 or 8 divisions (I know, a NOBODY couldn't do it, but it would be funny) just so he could say he was a 7 division champ.Comment

The WBO is a very rogue organization. I remember when Morales beat barrera, Morales moved up to featherweight and the WBO just gave the belt back to Barrera! Dodgy. They also do not enforce mandatorys and allow people like Calzaghe and in the past, Chris Eubank, to hand pick very below average opponents.Originally posted by Cali_RobDidnt your boy Chico also hold a WBO title?.......Damn some of you guys make it too easy.Comment

Eubank fought all his mandatories, and got paid a lot of money for doing so. All of his opponents were ranked 1-2 by the three other sanctioning bodies, too. All this crap about the WBO rankings, what are they going to do? Take some journeyman and make him number one contender instead of, say, a recently fallen champion of the WBC, WBA or IBF? Ofcourse their not.Originally posted by KimmyChris Eubank, to hand pick very below average opponents.
There's nothing wrong with the WBO rankings, all four rankings are always very similar with the same ****ing names on them.Last edited by JuicyJuice; 01-28-2006, 11:06 PM.Comment

I think the 2 questions should be separated?
1a) who won belts in x divisions? (from wbc, wba, ibf, wbo)
1b) who won any belt in x divisions?
2) who has been lineal champs in 6 divisions?
1a) belongs to oscar, of course if you don't consider wbo things change.
1b) i don't know... hearns? camacho?
2) is the relevant one and I think 3 is the highest:
consiering only the original weight classes:
Henry Armstrong won the lineal title at 126,135 and 147.
with junior-this and super-that
it is of course easier
Oscar was lineal at 140,147,154
sr leonard at 147,154,160
barney ross at 135,140,147
tony canzoneri at 126,135,140
and then there is a bunch of people with 2 divisions lineal titles like toney (190 or whatever cruiser was, hw) , mayweather (130,135), chavez (140, 147), whitaker (135, 147), holyfield (190, hw), spinks (175 hw), benvenuti (154, 160), griffith (147,154) and more I can't think off the top of my head.Comment
