The thing that makes this victory even funnier, is that you had guys like BoxingGenius27 and the other guy with Superman and Thor in his Avatar talking the most about Lucas Matthysse for a LONG TIME. I had some of my most heated arguments/debates with these two based of their assertion of Lucas Matthysse. Can't really call them debates first because dudes didn't have no real reasoning other than Matthysse being a big puncher. They talked mega $#!t and now look at where we are at. JD.... whatever his name is, be lurking around still talking smack but BoxingGenius ain't even around these parts. All in all, I'm happy for Danny.

Absolutelt Grus. The matthysse train got rolling after mike dallas jr. It was just amazing.
My guess is a lot of posters grew up in the tyson era so they are enamorated with ko's and power. They don't care about defense or other skills, just power. Lucas is a good fighter but he didnt deserve nor had he earned the recognition some posters were giving him.
In the end he is on the long list of power guys who can't seem to win unless they ko their opponent. Once his eye got hurt he kept fighting which he deserves credit for.
Other than that he is what some of us thought he was-big puncher but not skilled enough for the upper echelon. He got beat by enough that no rematch is warranted.
Schaeffer said he was the new manny pacquio. Well he shouldve had him fight the kind of one dimensional fighters manny was to keep his streak going.Comment

Danny whom I was rooting for did not kick Matthysse ass and the ko came when Matthysse head was outside of the ropes he had no where to go, I was surprise the referee allowed Garcia to throw a punch during that situation. I like Garcia but to me wasn't aggressive enough.Comment

No. Garcia caught Matthysse with a body punch at 1:17 left to go of the 11th round that took the wind out of him. The other punches just added more to it but Matthysse stumbled forward when Garcia barely connected. Notice how Matthysse did not contest the KD and he took the count to regain his composure. Dude was hurt.Comment

I said it from the beginning that you guys are like a herd of sheep that started riding Matthysse d*ck cause he knocked out lanky Peterson. Not only did Danny beat him but he made him feel pain. Dismantled the machine with no problems. knocked him down cause before he had him on the ropes, he hit him with a massive punch to the gut.
