Excuses because everybody knows the finest Cubans are better than those builded by Arun or Golden Boy. Canelo is a good boxer, but a normal one. Nothing exceptional. Why not Lara? Lara won Molina, why not him against Canelo?. The real truth is that GB not want a new Rigondeaux destroying his cash cow and Lara can win Canelo. I'll love to see Lara against Mayweather, two defensives fighters because the only chance to win Mayweather is not with those slow boxers and Mayweather know this. Lara can be an excellent match to Mayweather and for sure Canelo has nothing to do with Lara and that's why he is avoiding LAra for a long time

Can you blame Mayweather for not wanting to get an undisputed title for the first time in his career? Why would he want to risk his legacy against an easy opponent when it is not a style of fighter you prefer to beat. Maybe he can get Canelo to fight him instead.

                  i agree

lara and molina are tough fights for canelo. real boxing fans know this. canelo is famous but he hasnt proven himself to be elite/special were he would be guaranteed pick to beat these guys

its not a dig at lara, molina, and canelo to not call them elite/special fighters very few boxers are thats what makes them elite and special talents

hopefully canelo takes this route and earns the respect of hardcore boxing fans

or he can continue with what he has done before and got him the love and attention from casual fans and face older and smaller fighters moving up. it proven winning reciepe with casual fans

watch out saul "elMataViejitos" alvarez is back

Carlos Molina is a sloppy fighter and I would not call what him and Ish Smith did on Saturday night action. Ishe afted as if he had something better to do that night and Molina fought like an amuteur.

Lara would have exposed Canelo worst than Mayweather did. That is why Golden Boy did not even wanted them in the same city as their hype job. As far as Lara going up against Mayweather , Mayweather will never do it . He knows there is too much risk in taking up a fight against someone that has the foot speed and hand speed that Lara has. On top of that, Lara is a lefty which would nullify a lot of the advantages that Floyd has with his shoulder roll, that works so well against right handed fighters.
