I believe Cotto is just doing fight-by-fight, actually. But, unless Alvarez lifts the strap off Molina, I see no reason for him and Cotto to fight. No belts will be on the line. It'd simply be...a fight. I'm not against it, but belts add hype, even if they don't really mean anything.

2 fighters with large fan bases that have TV backing meaning big paychecks we'll see how much they want to risk Canelo against good opposition before they can make another high profile fight with him.
