The jab was hitting Floyd early and Money even got caught with a few power punches. Eventually his superior stamina, skillset, and versatility helped him sweep the last half of the fight but it was a real fight early....
Really? I didn't see Canelo even attempt to fight until the second half. Rounds 1-5 he looked unsure what to do so basically did nothing while Floyd felt him out and occasionally let a right hand go.

Weight wouldnt of mattered and dont even think if we waited 2-3yrs when Canelo is at his all time prime would of mattered..

Canelo just aint on Floyds level.. another GBP hypejob cause seriously who has he beat?
You mean getting embarrassed by Floyd?...

Better think that Danny did what he had to do, instead...

Imo this was just another lesson on how styles make fights. If you rooted for Canelo then you're either a Floyd hater or just a mexican supporter. We just witnessed a great no lie. Not even Sugar Ray Robinsons defense is this good. Floyd would've made easy work of Jake Lamotta

Floyd Maywether, Jr. Definitely rose to the occasion for this particular bout. He made Saul Alvarez look like a complete amateur.

One can say what they will about Floyd but when it seems that his back is up against the wall, it helps motivate and bring out the best in him.

Many people had doubted Mayweather's age, commitment and dedication to the sport at this later stage of his career and said that Canelo would prove to be his stiffest challenge to date because of his size and youth but yet he pitched a virtual shutout by literally taking him to boxing school.

As a matter fact, Saul had fared far worse against Mayweather, than did either of his previous predecessors combined at the 154 lbs limit, in Oscar De La Hoya and Miguel Cotto. He looked very lost and confused in there against the Money man.

Don't be surprised if a rematch happens. Lucas did lose an eye. But credit that to Garcia. It was an exciting fight!

Threw out the WHOLE fight Floyd gave Canelo a Boxing lesson & a half! I didn't see Canelo win a single round! Have NO idea what fight judge Cj Ross was watching that seen it a draw cause I don't care where that judge was sitting, it was CRYSTAL CLEAR that the one that was dominating & landing the most significant shots AT WILL was Floyd! De La Hoya must have paid that judge VERY WELL!

Even though I was solidly behind Mayweather, for the first time I actually gave someone a shot to beat him. I'll never do that again... Mayweather is the BEST!!!

And Canelo proved that he could hardly win a round against a past prime blown up welterweight.

I had FM 10-2, no contest, advanced sparring...Alvarez will go back & fight his blown up WW's & no names, doing his best 2 avoid Thurman , who will ko him...as for "judge" Ross, I've been posting 4 a couple years the worst judge in Nevada, mayb the US...she has periods where she loses concentration, like most of last night, and she needs 2 be suspended 4 life....atrocious score, no way she can explain her self out of it, as there was no evident judgment involved...
