Because lets just be honest if Sergio comes back and beats GGG this fight will be off the table again.

Just think its the perfect fight for Floyd to have another "dangerous" opponent whos also the middleweight champ.

True, not to mention getting paid some serious money in comparison to a decent paycheck.

However, I'm one of the few on here that think GGG is overhyped (like Canelo/Matthysse) and predict that Sergio will beat him if they face off.

Floyds is out of contenders until Pac or Bradley stop letting Arum get in the way and Danny needs a welterweight fight first imo and Thurman is 1-3 fights away.

What do say? I dont think Sergio would care for a tune up for his only shot at Floyd.
100% absolutely agree - the linear middleweight world title is ripe for the taking next year when Martinez returns. I would certainly take the fight if I was Mayweather even at 160lbs if need be. Martinez is clearly a shell of his former self and he's not getting any younger next year - with defense and ring generalship Mayweather cruises to victory even at 160lbs because that extra weight is just going to weigh Martinez down as Mayweather circles and peppers him

I think its a Myth he is that much past it. Like Floyd after the Cotto fight, he was said to have no legs and be slow and easier to hit

Sergio is falling apart this wouldn't be a merciful death.

I have to say that I am actually on board with this fight now. It makes sense. Martinez is marketable and has a more exciting style that either Guerrero or Canelo. I personally think that it would sell better than Garcia and probably would be a more entertaining fight too. At least you can count on Martinez throwing 80 punches a round. I did not see Martinez's last fight - so I am not sure how he looked, but it is certainly a better option for him rather than fighting GGG, who would KO him inside of 8.

After calling Floyd out for almost 3-4 years I dont think he could turn dowb that payday. Even if he reinjured himself hed be financially set for life.

They could market Pretty Boy P4P Money King vs Sexy Sergio middleweight champ!
Haha that would be funny. I agree Sergio wouldn't turn down an oppurtunity like this but personally I don't like this idea at all. He didn't look very impressive against Murray. He turns 39 next year and his body is breaking down. He just had a second knee surgery and also an ankle surgery. All this stuff in less than a year. I want to see if Martinez still got it before he steps into the ring with someone like Floyd.

Murray is a tough guy dont get me wrong and maybe it was because Sergio was trying to brawl for his fans but I feel like he got hit with a lot more punches he would have dodged in previous fights. I thought it was more obvious Floyd sat back and let Cotto try to hit him because hes not a hard puncher at 154 and notably slower.

The leg issue is the major headline that has me favoring GGG. At his age and his style of fighting I just dont know if he can comeback the same. Its not like hes defensively sounds like Hopkins or Floyd. Movement IS his thing.

I don't understand why people can't stop making Floyd vs "insert Middleweight"

I see no reason for Floyd to fight those guys, I don't want to see Floyd bloat up or have him "drain" them down to 154. Floyd doesn't even make 154, sure "insert ATG" has done this and that, but Floyd can do what he wants.

And I see no reason to ask Floyd to fight any of the MWs..

He has Pacquiao, Bradley, Garcia, and Thurman to line up unless he's going to keep holding those 154 belts and fight in two divisions in his last four fights.
