It's a gloat-fest at the moment (and I don't blame the Danny fans - the Matthyse fanboys totally under-estimated Garcia) so we won't have any sensible discussions for a while.

But Danny had a lot of things go right for him. The eye-shutting came right when Lucas stopped trying to box cute and was laying on the pressure big-time. Garcia also got away with a lot of low/blows and clinching, and even with one eye, Matthyse fought his ass off.

I would love a re-match because it doesn't really feel like a score was settled tonight (apart from the fanbases) but it won't happen which is a pity.

Exactly, Matthysse had Danny nervous till he turned into a cyclops... And even then, Matthysse still gave him one hell of a fight with one eye

I'll concede Danny's the favorite in a rematch, but not convinced he's a much better fighter... And still don't think he lasts long above 140 (though I said the same thing about Matthysse)

why is everyone pretending garcia dominated? he barely won. if you take away the rabbit punch knockdown he loses the fight on 2 judges cards. if the ref had taken points away for all the low blows and holding he loses or gets ko'd. that was no masterclass.
