There's nothing like fight week in Las Vegas, NV especially for a bout of the magnitude of Floyd Mayweather vs. Saul " Canelo" Alvarez. The fighters said their final words at the press conference Wednesday afternoon as now all that's left for them to do is make weight and get ready to tangle on Saturday night.

Mayweather's trainer and father Floyd Mayweather Sr gave his last thoughts as well when he spoke to BoxingScene. This fight will mark the second time Floyd Mayweather Sr has been back in command of his son's corner as they have rekindled their relationship and started training together again earlier this year.

im not a mayweather nuthugger like 95% of u but i do agree with Sr..Floyds gonna stop Canelo in 9-10 rounds..gonna be a lot of upset Mexicans come saturday night..

To beat Mayweather Alvarez will have to be all up in his grill just like Hatton did in the first couple of rounds.Pressure him and force him to have to fight rather than box at a distance.Mayweather is about safety first,so get him out of his comfort zone.Easier said than done,but it will be but by whom....?
But if Alvarez is huffing and puffing by the middle rounds like he was against Trout,he'll have no chance.

People who are thinking Mayweather will KO Alvarez are just clueless.

1) Floyd fights at a slow pace himself
2) Running out of gas doesn't = getting knocked out
3) Alvarez never been knocked down
4) Alvarez is going to be 15 pounds or so bigger than Floyd and has barley been hurt by anyone
5) Floyd got brittle hands, he will not attempt the KO, people who believe he will are buying into his game.

I think Floyd will go to the body early and move around a lot,make canelo miss,i remember hatton saying Floyd makes opponents miss early to get them tired then takes over the fight,i think he'll do that,canelo always looks tired after the fifth round,he should have gotten a nutritionist and conditioning coach a long time ago and waited to fight Floyd next year,atleas two more fights to prepare,he's very inexperienced against top notch,young boxers and that is what will make him lose

Sr's comments make a whole lot of sense especially now since he has to come down in weight as far as stopping Alvarez that might be a long shot but then again Alvarez hasn't fought anyone of this experience and although Floyd isn't really a power puncher he is fast and extremely accurate you can make the argument that Canelo has fought Mosley but Mosley is just a shadow of what he once was when they fought I believe Canelo will run out of gas in the later rounds as well.
