    Too bad...

Danny seems like a good guy. It's a shame that his father has me rooting for him to get knocked out.

Why da fck do these silly ass journalists always bring up "he's lost twice already"? Anyone who watched those fights knows Lucas comfortably beat Zab. Jeez, I had the fight 8-4 and I've been a Zab fan for more than a decade! Plus Lucas got a knockdown! That was a gift, straight up. Devon fight was closer, but Lucas still won in the eyes of most people and bossed the centre of the ring, and again scored a knockdown.

I like Garcia and Matthysse, both come across well. Danny can say "I've fought better fighters" and "power doesn't win fights" all he likes but he's gonna taste that power on Saturday night and we'll see how he handles it. Me personally, I'm picking Lucas to take him down but I don't mind who wins. It should be a great fight.

Danny about this fight: "... the network want (sic!) it"...
... Then you didn't want it, Danny!?!

(I don't have anything against Garcia, but this...)

Yup, that was an interesting one. It's obvious he didn't actually "want it", or certainly didn't seek it out. He never really entertained the idea of fighting Lucas, in every single interview he was dismissive, until the clamor became irresistible, the networks/GBP offered him a career-high payday and a place on the biggest PPV show, and then he "wanted" it. Even now he is "dismissive" but I trust he's took his training to the limit and will be ready because he's going to fight a real thoroughbred on Saturday night. He's never faced a fighter like this before. This is new territory for Lucas, too. I just hope the fight lives up to the expectation.

I think that Judah and Alexander changed Lucas a lot...
Matthysse is more like Golovkin and Kovalev...

Dude is just trying to hype himself up....nothing wrong with confidence but he knows what's gonna happen in that ring. Sometimes it's hard to come to grip with the harsh realities of life though.

gotta be confident against a guy like Matthysse, anyone going in there to lie down will be dealt with quickly

This is a 50/50 fight, but I see Danny as the more skilled fighter. However one punch can end the fight. Angel Garcia would be wise to advise his son not to take any risk when Lucas is unloading punches. Something Danny does a lot, leaving your chin exposed to land your punches when Mathysse is throwing bombs is too risky.
