whats worse? moving up in weight or moving down?

lemme aks you this about this whole DLH-Mayweather-Canelo fiasco.

we all know DLH aksed floyd to move up in weight from 47 to 54.
and Floyd aksed Canelita to go down 2 lbs south of 54, not even to WW.

IMO blowing up floyd to 54 to oscars territory is a huge advantage for oscar.

Depends on the conditioning of the fighter. Canelo should be fighting at 168, so it hurts him more in this case.

Meh, depends how you look at it.
Look at those instances where Lopez went up 2 and Dawson went down 1

Moving down in weight is the absolute worse.

remember when floyd was supposed to lose 3 pounds and come in at 144? he couldn't or refused to because of the negative effects yet he happily moves up 5 pounds. so i'll ride with mah boy floyd. he knows moving up doens't matter especially when you are fighting someone who is moving down and drained.

Depends on each case... But if are a big guy trying to force yourself down... or if you're a little guy adding pounds to get to a higher class; That's when it matters the most. But if you're already a tall guy for your division a few pounds more don't matter much, the exact same thing for the little guy if you're little and are fighting a couple of divisions in weight higher than your stature suggest you can easily drop the weight.
